Professional Development Opportunities for Teachers

Many professional development opportunities are available to High School and Middle School teachers through the GatorTRAX program and the University of Florida College of Engineering.

• The University of Florida College of Engineering will fund registration to the National SECME Summer Institute for one teacher from each district.
• Participating instructors are eligible to receive materials to support hands-on activities in the classroom.
• Meals, lodging, and reasonable travel expenses will be covered for the UF GatorTRAX Mini-Institute.
• In-service points are awarded for participation in Engineering GatorTRAX activities.
• Hands-on teacher training is offered in all participating districts.
